Corfu, Greece Part 1

Deb and I booked ourselves on one of the Princess Cruise onshore tours because we really wanted to visit a monastry in Greece.  We were not disappointed.  It was way, way up a windy, narrow road way with 'S' curves.  At the top, it was beautifully serene and peaceful.

An early morning entrance into the monastry.

Views of the sea from the back of the monastry.

Not sure why we didn't bring our bathing suits?  Clear, sandy beaches.  This little village was about a half hour from Corfu.

Back in the city of Corfu, Debbie was encouraged to try the limoncello and the kumquat liquor as well.

Looks inviting......but.....

Nearly 'blow her socks off.'

These bells are so typical of Greece churches.

Interesting place to perch?

This fortress can be seen from the sea.  The old city is surrounded by a wall.  It reminds me of Siena, Italy in that respect.

Walking back to the ship along the water way.  This restaurant's ceiling IS a canapy of vines....so cool.

Anybody want to go fishing?  You can see from the Port, the country of Albania on a clear day.
