When we visited the monastry, I was amazed by the vines that grow over everything. A closer look...this is a grape vine....with yummy grapes...
They told us the grapes aren't ready yet.....I thought they looked delicious...and huge.
Debbie finding the shade under a canapy of vines....red grapes.
A Greek monk? Not sure of his title but he came out to chat and meet the visitors to his home. He and I chatted about his visit to Montreal, Quebec....his english was better than my Greek...
Another view of the sea.
This artist was painting pictures of the area on what looked like 'river rocks.' I had to buy one.
Modern day shepherds.....right in town.
Beautiful girls with a new little puppy.
Sunflowers were plentiful in Greece. Not so much in Italy with the drought they have been having. There is a wee bee on this flower too.....
Taking a rest and enjoying lunch in the old city of Corfu.
This is the restaurant. We were the only ones for a while and then we were full. Delicious food. Wonderful, friendly staff.
A closer view of the fortress. You can climb all the way to the top...you can see little heads up there...but we were running a little late to catch our ship.
Amazing walk back to the ship. Here, locals know the place to catch the waves.
Staying cool in the water.
