Friends of the World Part 1

One of the greatest joys of travelling for us has been meeting many people who cross our paths during our adventures in the world.  We have actually kept in touch with some and made new friends this trip that we plan to maintain a connection until we get together again.
Above is a family from Italy.  Originally from the USA.  Steve and Linda own a hostile in Rome named "The Beehive."  They are fantastic people and we have maintained a connection with them since 2006.  Linda collects tea towels from the world and we brought her one from Canada on this most recent trip, which she shared on her blog.

Brad and Wendy, who are long lost friends of my sister, Tina, were on the Crown Princess with us.  What a surprise.  This is their first trip (and cruise) to Europe and they did so much....I was so impressed.

Ok...so...this gal is not 'technically' my new friend...but I would like her to be.  She is an Italian gal who did serious shopping in Naples, Italy and then took the ferry we were on to Sorrento, Italy.....more shopping I bet.  We could so be friends!

In Athens, Greece this friendly guy made our delicious souvlaki.

Friends come in all shapes and sizes.  This little guy befriended us on the little train that tours the Plaka in Athens.  He was so hot he hid under the seat ahead of us and played with us a bit.

Here are our new found like minded travel friends.  Carol and Fred are from Melbourne, Australia.  They were are table mates for the entire cruise for dinner.  Fantastic people.  In Aussie tradition they have invited us to come and visit when we are in Australia.
