Okay...our new favourite spot in the world. It is breath taking. Except for the size of servings of octopus/calamari that they serve along the water front restaurants. This is a picture...I didn't order after I saw that......
Finally....our toes in the Aegean water. Chrystal clear, turquoise blue.
We chose to spend the day walking along the twisty streets of Mykonos. All white washed buildings with dramatic accents of colours.
The churches are Greek Orthodox. Very simple on the outside, and very decorated on the inside. Tiny, tiny. Probably fit about 8 people inside! As well, most of them are not locked but left open for people to visit.
Little Venice (in Mykonos) named because people wanted to build their homes right near their boats. This is the view from a restaurant right on the sea.
Famous windmills.
Brilliant colored plants growing all over the buildings. Everything is in full bloom at this time. But the temperatures have been in the 30' and 40' all through our travels. It was 41' C in Athens the day we visited.
