I was trying to help my friend, "The David", but I missed.
Debbie is a better friend to "King Tritton" in Florence.
Would you love a friend if he had no head? My buddy from Olympia, Greece.
These beautiful girls and little puppy posed for a picture near the monastery in Corfu, Greece. The puppy was a new friend of theirs.
When climbing the Bell Tower in Split, Croatia, we came to a very scary spot where we had to climb. This young lady came to Deb's rescue by explaining that it was scary for a bit and then would get better. She encourage Debbie to do it and seriously, I think that is the push Deb needed.
It was so worth the climb for the incredible views of Split.
My new BFF was a beautiful Croatian woman who was quietly making these lovely, intricate, dollies. She and I had a great conversation for about 5-10 minutes even though I didn't speak her language and she didn't speak a word of English. I did purchase the gorgeous dollie she has in her hands in this picture.
Have water dish, will travel. A sweet little doggie that befriended Deb in Venice.
In Venice, a cafe owner wanted us to come in and have a bite to eat along our journey. They all stand outside their establishments and try to encourage, persuade, tourists to come in. We went past and then I realized it was founded in 1962? My year of birth. It was a sign. We headed back and enjoyed a delicious seafood pasta. This gentleman, Roberto, was our waiter. He shared with us that he really wants to get to Canada to "ice fish?" He can't believe people do this?
We promised to send him a postcard from Canada when we get home. He was really funny and made our trip into Venice so much more memorable.
